What does the Mental Math Test measure?
This test samples the kind of "in your head" math people rely on daily: splitting a bill, estimating a discount, or sanity-checking a number without reaching for a calculator. It mixes exact-answer arithmetic with looser estimation questions.
How scores are calculated
Questions are grouped into core arithmetic and applied math (percentages, fractions, and estimation). Your results show both an overall score and this two-part breakdown, plus your average time per question.
Can I use a calculator?
You can, but the test is designed to measure mental math, so your results will be most meaningful if you work the problems in your head or on scratch paper.
